This year it was all about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caferomaslo.com\">good food<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitavilabeach.com\/\">beaches<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/georgeco\/sets\/72157594254172194\/\">historic automobile racing<\/a>, and deck building. This year <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montereyhistoric.com\/\">Cooper race cars<\/a> were the featured <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gcomotorsports.com\/specr53\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/226680589_7a64447645_o.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-679\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gcomotorsports.com\/specr53\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/226680589_7a64447645_o-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Many MINIs\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>marque along with a tribute to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jackbrabham.com\/\">Jack Brabham<\/a>. Once again we enjoyed the hospitality of the Golden Gate and Central California Chapters of the BMWCCA at their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.festorics.org\/festorics2006\/index.shtml\">Festorics<\/a> tent. The weekend was also the kick-off for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.minitakesthestates.com\">MINI Takes the States<\/a> and the first delivery of the special edition JCW GP cars. You can listen to that over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whiteroofradio.com\">White Roof Radio<\/a>. Unfortunately all we had with us was our trusty Hertz rental car &#8212; all of the MINIs present got to drive a parade lap during lunch. There were so many they completely lapped the course. I really enjoyed the historic F1 cars. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toyota.com\/montereyhistoric\/\">Toyota<\/a> also had their current F1 car there with Ricardo Zonta their test driver. He set a new lap record (for noise as well as speed.) Some day I&#8217;ll make it out to Laguna Seca for a track day.
