{"id":676,"date":"2006-02-06T20:50:16","date_gmt":"2006-02-06T20:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.specr53.com\/blog\/?p=676"},"modified":"2025-02-01T21:15:38","modified_gmt":"2025-02-01T21:15:38","slug":"2005-historics-a-little-late","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gcomotorsports.com\/specr53\/historics\/2005-historics-a-little-late\/","title":{"rendered":"2005 Historics (a little late)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One annual event I really miss since we moved away from California nearly 6 years ago, is the annual &#8220;Monterey Weekend.&#8221; If you are a car nut, that can only mean the weekend of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.concorso.com\/\">Concorso Italiano<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montereyhistoric.com\/\">Historic Automobile<\/a> races at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laguna-seca.com\/\">Laguna Seca<\/a>. (Oh, and there&#8217;s some sort of car show at a place called Pebble Beach, too. But that&#8217;s a bit too high brow for me.) It&#8217;s always a weekend of good food, good company, and nothing but fast cars as far as the eye can see. This year we had a bit of fog too, but that didn&#8217;t dampen our spirits. The good news for 2006 is that Cooper will be the featured Marque.
